  • Overview

    The Systems Technician will be responsible for installing, servicing and testing of fire alarm, CCTV, access control and security alarm systems. Duties include roughing in electrical boxes, pulling conductors and cables, terminating conductors and cables, programming and testing systems. Must be able work individually, or in a team environment. The ideal candidate will have good communication skills, strong computer knowledge and will be detail oriented

    Job duties include, but are not limited to the following:

    Be able to plan, task, track, organize and complete paperwork

    Communicate effectively and efficiently with anyone on any size job

    Prepare, review or coordinate ongoing modifications to contract specifications or plans

    Work with ladders and lifts up to 40 feet

    Install, inspect and repair various systems

    Work within current codes and standards

    Ability to read blueprints, submittals, specifications, and equipment manuals


    Include, but are not limited to the following:


    Able to stand for long periods of time

    Capable of lifting and carrying up to 50-65 lbs.

    Knowledge of NFPA 72, NFPA 70, NFPA 101 and IBC

    Experience with EST 3, IO64, Notifier, Bosch, Potter and Silent Knight fire panels

    Experience with various CCTV, security and access control systems

    Have a good understanding of troubleshooting

    Must understand AC/DC theory

    5+ years of Fire/Security Alarm, Access Control and CCTV experience in a construction environment is highly preferred

    California Fire/Life Safety Certification is a MUST

    NICET certified is highly preferred
