The Low Voltage Project Manager has P&L responsibility for the low voltage scope of every project the company does including planning, coordinating and managing the day-to-day operations of the Low Voltage Installers and Systems Techs for RMG Projects. The ideal candidate will have the ability to manage and lead a team of Low Voltage Installers and System Techs that provide services including all low voltage wiring/termination/device installation and programming of all RMG Integrated Systems for internal and external clients.


Include, but are not limited to the following: 

  • Full P&L responsibilities for the Low Voltage systems for projects, including information to help Rex Moore Group Project Managers do cost to complete projections
  • Management and oversight of low voltage systems for projects
  • Responsible for continuous improvement of the department by ensuring feedback loop communication and implementation of practical problem solving techniques
  • Ensure integration of labor management scheduling and manpower projections by collaborating with the Project Teams
  • Coordinate with Rex Moore Group Estimating, Engineering, Design, Detailing and the turnover processes between departments
  • Work with Human Resources on workforce development, such as talent/skills management, training needs and manufacturer’s certification requirements
  • Review/approve project budgets, scope of work and contract language that include Low Voltage scope of work
  • Ensure projects are built smoothly and that all the essential players have the tools to be successful
  • Attend and participate in new project kickoff meetings that include Low Voltage scope of work
  • Provide leadership for the Low Voltage Install/Systems Tech Department by working closely with the Rex Moore Group Project Manager
  • Attend design meetings with the engineer and/or client
  • Remain current with the latest technology in integrated systems, industrial controls and the Internet of Things (IoT)
  • Remain current with the latest technology in electrical construction and equipment


Include, but are not limited to the following: 

  • Technical background in Integrated Systems or similar industry
  • Strong project and budget management skills
  • General understanding of systems in a building and how they differ from various facilities
  • Excellent written/oral communication with strong influencing and consensus-building skills
  • Strong analytical excellent interpersonal skills with ability to build, manage and influence teams
  • Experience with performance metrics, process improvement and Lean techniques
  • Knowledge of fire, electrical, mechanical and building codes as they apply to low voltage systems
  • Be able to read electrical, mechanical, structural and architectural plans
  • Understanding of Electrical Theory and Construction knowledge and experience
  • Understanding of computer network configurations (TCPIP, LAN, WAN, etc.)
  • Strong Organizational, Math, Communication and Networking skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Business, Technology Management or related field and 5 years Electrical/Low Voltage Construction experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Computer based estimating program knowledge such as Accubid, McCormick or similar
