We are looking for a full time Skilled Trades Recruiter whose primary responsibility is to recruit, interview and hire qualified Field Employee applicants. It is the Recruiter’s role to recruit skilled tradespeople to ensure overall workforce optimization and to successfully build a safe, stable, productive and skilled workforce.


The Skilled Trades Recruiter is one of the first points of contact that craft professionals have with the company so it is important to project a professional image and personality that can capture the interest of qualified skilled trade candidates.


Manage and fulfill job orders

Utilize Applicant Tracking Software (ATS) to support recruitment and database maintenance

Screen applications/resumes and set up interviews

Conduct interviews and orientation sessions in collaboration with hiring managers

Identify and establish candidate sources

Create and implement recruitment marketing campaigns using social media, email campaigns, cold calls, etc.

Collaborate with trade schools, community college trades programs, high school shop and ROP programs and military reintroduction programs to attract candidates

Thrive in a high-energy team environment and be capable of handling multiple tasks in a fast paced environment

Be self-motivated and goal oriented

Have desire to constantly interact/communicate with various personalities maintaining solid working relationships with both skilled trade workers and hiring managers

Be dependable, responsible, have a good attitude and be willing to work hard

Electrical construction industry knowledge is a plus

Intermediate computer skills including on-line job board use required. Social media expertise using LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter, Google+, etc. required. Prior experience with an applicant tracking system is a major plus.


Experience and Education:


Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing or similar field of study preferred

Minimum of 2 years of experience recruiting for skilled trades or similar positions in a construction, manufacturing or trades service company or for a staffing agency servicing these industries.
